Cyclone IV dev board v3

note: old design, I recommend to use my v4 board!

My Cyclone IV board v3 is based on the Cyclone IV chip with a BGA housing. Because of that the PCB is a 4-layer PCB and cannot be produced in JLC 'standard mode'. This makes it a bit expensive. If you are able to preorder the Cyclone IV with PQFP-144 housing you can order my Cyclone IV v4 board instead.

This board do have the same pinout as my Cyclone II board. But the used Cyclone IV chip has more internal memory and is needed if you want to use GottFA80 with one of the 'late' 80B games.

So for GottFA80 there are two software versions available. One for CycloneII (.pof) and one for CycloneIV (.jic).

Even possible I did not create CycloneIV versions for my other FPGA CPUs. Let me know if you need one.

how to order your Altera DIY board

Have a look to the PCB documentation section.

Needed Gerber Data, BOM and Component Placement List (CPL) you find on my repository server

As the Cyclone IV comes with a BGA (Ball Grid Array) housing I strongly recommend to use 'ENIG' for the surface finish when ordering at JLCPCB!

Note

When ordering check carefully if all parts are available. It could be necessary that you order some parts upfront via your JLCPCB 'my parts library'. Ordered components are usually available within days. Check the JLCPCB help on how this can be done.
